GR-1 September sale, GR-MEGA roadmap.

It’s been a while since we last posted an update, so here it goes.

Some times there’s bad news, and then .. we always start with the bad news. 🌧

In recent years, we’ve seen new world wide border and customs regulations come and go. Russia, USA, Israel were or are all affected at some point. Last week PostNL, the Dutch national postal service, suspended service to the USA. At this moment we seem to have found a relatively inexpensive workaround for this by using UPS (United Parcel Service, not to be confused with US Postal Service USPS!). We’ll keep monitoring the situation to see if this remains a feasible option. Of course our more exclusive/expensive express shipping option, using DHL express is still available. We’ve been in contact with DHL Express and they indicate they have no problems with the new US customs regulations. So, that’s actually good news, then? 😀 Well, yes. We’re keeping our webshop rates for regular post and express unchanged! Who knows it may change, but if you’re subscribed to our mailing list, you’ll be the first to know.

GR-1 September sale!

On to the good news then: 8 years ago the GR-1 was born. To celebrate, we have a sale. Both the silver and the black version are now available for just 599 euro ex VAT. This means 185 euro off for the black version (and more if you pay EU VAT)! The sale ends September 30th. Supply is limited.

GR-MEGA Firmware 1.4

In the mean time we’re doing a number of bugfix releases for the GR-MEGA. Recently, 1.4.1 was released, and this one features pot pickups for all pots, and also fine tuning (using up and down keys ▲▼) for all controls, logarithmic filter envelopes, and fixes for clocked record, and new projects. 1.4.2 follows hot on the heels of 1.4.1, and it should be out next week. Maybe we’ll do one or two more 1.4 bugfix releases. Also, a new manual 1.4.c has just been released, which finally describes factory reset, and improves the FAQ.

GR-MEGA Roadmap

We a roadmap for GR-MEGA firmware development, although it is not set in stone. We intend to keep on doing themed firmware updates.

1.5 improved audio recording. ETA: october ’25

1.6 sequencer improvements, and file handling. Easy backup and restore will be a key feature. ETA: late 2025

1.7 granular engine update. Feb/March 2026

If you have any feature requests that match these themes, then please let us know ASAP. Your feature request is extra likely to be honored. It will probably be a long time before one of the above themes gets repeated in another release.

GR-MEGA production

Our production time table has not had significant setbacks for a while now, since we have a steady supply of casings coming in. Lead time is now approximately 4 months. We expect it to be in stock in January or February.
